Charmaine and Ja'Net welcomed the guests and supporters and took the opportunity to discuss CWJ's mission and direction and provide a sneak peak at some of CWJ's upcoming  projects.
A big thank you went out to the night's raffle sponsors  including The Door and Groovin' In The Park. Monies raised will be fund project is healthcare and education (O'Meally Basic School).
Over the past several months the CWJ has been hard at work behind the scenes building the foundation of the association. This past Saturday they were happy to officially launch the Charmaine Warren and Joyce Association at a kick off party hosted by Charmaine Griffiths, CEO. Also in attendace were board members Warren Downer, President; Ja'Net Russell, Vice President; Georgette Brown, Treasurer; TrudyAnn Cover, Secretary and Joycelyn Edwards, Assistant Community Liason.
24-MAY-2018     Road Repairs Up & Running
CWJ has made a sizeable contibution to help get repairs to O'Meally's failing infrastructure up and running. The long overdue repairs to the breakaway are a community initiative - members are coming together to provide their expertise and labour free of charge and the funds donated by CWJ have been earmarked for the material and resources needed to shore up the breakaway with a retaining wall. Additional donations have been provided by Leslie Campbell, MP and a private Canadian citizen. Please continue to visit this page for updates on their progress.

And guest speaker Velda Armstrong, Guidance Counsellor from PS 118, Queens NY provided guests with insight into the basic needs of educational institutions in developing countries.

Congratulations to all the students who completed their GSAT exams which will allow them to attend high school this coming fall. CWJ was pleased to present five hardworking students with text book vouchers which will help ease the cost of their first year.
